I was planning to wait to do this until the next page went up, but it’s likely to be a few more days* until that happens and I don’t want to wait anymore.  SO, first some local news, then the big headlines.

First off, as you might’a noticed, the site has been spruced up a bit. A lot of it was under-the-hood stuff and minor tweaks, but I’m finally pretty happy with how the site looks and runs. The New Readers section has also been updated – a few FAQ questions have been adjusted and the Character bios have been redone/expanded (and no longer open in a new screen!). Check them out for extra insight into the world of Nomad Tofu!

Okay, now the super exciting news!

Longtime pal and all-around fantastic guy Josh Hechinger, along with the very talented John Bivens, have entered DC Comics’ ZUDA competition! If they win the boys will land a paying comics gig with, ya’ know, DC *EXPLETIVE* Comics!(!!) But they need your help to do it! If you haven’t signed up with ZUDA before you’ll need to register, then on the right hand side of their comic you can give ‘em FIVE STARS (which it’s worthy of anyway), FAVORITE them, and finally VOTE for them!!

Because the holidays are coming up the contest ends DECEMBER 24th,  so get over there and vote.  And then tell your friends to vote.  Help a dude out – especially these dudes, because they’re awesome and so is their story (believe me, it needs to be told in full!)  VOTE!!

Nomad Tofu officially has a twitter account! It is special and filled with goodies just for you! Keep track of updates via the up-to-the-minute RSS, get behind the scenes goodness, frequent updates of where the current update is at, as well as personal thoughts on webcomic-e things! It started a good week ago and already has a handful of tweets posted, including a random sketchbook page and the pencils for the Barbra Fail Whale you see above. You can find us via twitter at @nomadtofu , or just click the picture! (There’s also a new desktop wallpaper in the extras section too!)

I’m still working on how I’m setting up the twitter accounts on the site (I will still be tweeting on the @harrymylandIV account as well). I may be adding a new link section for ‘em in the top bar, along with a greater amount of sweet webcomcs and other neat stuff. We’ll see.

In other news, ads will start appearing on the site shortly. Not many, one will go up right next to the logo on the top of the page, one will go on the right hand side. Nothing major and it’s for no real reason, just a change, I guess.
